A Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) and a Policy Advisory Committee (PAC) were established at the outset of the FAR Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study Update. The TAC and PAC were established to regularly review study progress and to provide input to the consulting team. The committees are comprised of individuals representing:
The City of Dayton Department of Aviation
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
Local jurisdictions (i.e. planning agency representatives and elected officials from the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission, Montgomery County Planning Commission, Miami County Planning Commission, City of Vandalia, City of Dayton, City of Englewood, City of Union, City of Tipp City, Monroe Township, Butler Township, Randolph Township, City of West Milton, City of Huber Heights, etc.)
Airlines
Military (Wright-Patterson Air Force Base)
Tenants and other affected Airport users
School Districts
Neighborhood groups
A Community Advisory Committee (CAC) was also established at the outset of the project to ensure adequate public involvement. The CAC includes appointed representatives from all jurisdictions affected by the Airport, and persons from local realty agencies, neighborhood organizations, and noise groups.
As the study progresses the Community Advisory, Technical Advisory, and Policy Advisory Committees will be tasked with establishing communication between all interested parties and encouraging open discussions about study findings.
